Ingredients needed for the strawberries:
- Strawberries
- Milk chocolate morsels
- White chocolate morsels
- Coconut oil
Steps to make the recipe:
- Thoroughly rinse the strawberries, then pat them dry.
- Place your milk chocolate in a bowl, then heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals making sure to stir the chocolate in between. (The chocolate won't be very melted after the first 30 seconds, but make sure to stir it anyway to prevent burning). This will take between 2-4 intervals depending on your microwave.
- Once the chocolate is melted add a teaspoon of coconut oil if it's too thick. Microwave for an additional 15 seconds if needed.
- Dip each strawberry in the chocolate and then transfer to a parchment paper-covered dish. (Place the chocolate in a small coffee cup for easier dipping).
- Place the strawberries in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
- To decorate the strawberries: Melt the white chocolate using the same process used for the milk chocolate.
- Place the chocolate in a piping bag or zip-lock bag.
- Snip the tip of the bag and pipe the chocolate over the strawberries in the design of your choosing.
- Place the strawberries back into the refrigerator until ready to serve. (Store in an airtight container if you won't be eating them right away.
Tips for making the strawberries:
Store the strawberries in the refrigerator for about a few days for optimal freshness.
Another way to make the strawberries are to dip them in the white chocolate and drizzle them with the milk chocolate.
