The holidays are quickly approaching so we are bringing you Holiday Dessert Recipes to help bring your dessert menu together! The holidays aren't the holidays with a dessert or two or three.
At least one cake and one pie is the minimum requirement. So in preparation for this special time that we spend with family and friends, we've put together five recipes for you all to enjoy for the holidays.
Holiday Dessert Recipes
These recipes are made with mostly homemade ingredients, except for the pie crust used in Green Apple Crumble recipe and the cookies used in the Banana Pudding recipe. We like to keep recipes as quick and easy as possible!
There is no need to overcomplicate things to make a great dessert.
The Sour Cream Pound Cake recipe is especially great when you are feeding a crowd. This is a large cake and has plenty of slices for everyone to enjoy.
Simply cut the cake into individual slices and gift them to family, friends, and even co-workers. A lot of us want to share something special with our co-workers and the cakes would be a great option to share with several people.
Peach Cobbler is always on the table in our families for either Thanksgiving, Christmas, or both holidays. This is usually everyone's favorite as well.
Now we can't forget the Banana Pudding. If you don't make it on the holiday, make sure you still make this recipe during the holiday season! It will not disappoint.
And last, but not least, Green Apple Crumble Pie! Ya'll (in Texas we say ya'll lol), it is the next best thing to an apple pie, but so much easier and quicker to make.
So share the love of homemade goods this holiday season. There is definitely something special about a dessert made from scratch! Homemade desserts are so much better tasting than store-bought desserts.
