Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are peanut butter cookie dough rolled into a ball,
tossed in sugar, baked, and then pressed with a chocolate kiss!

These peanut butter and chocolate cookies are super simple cookies to make. They only take a few ingredients as well.
The cracks formed in the cookies are created from rolling the dough into sugar and then pressing the chocolate kisses into the cookies as soon as they come out of the oven.

Ingredients needed for the cookies:
For the cookies:
- All-purpose flour
- Light brown sugar
- Granulated sugar
- Creamy peanut butter
- Unsalted butter- room temperature
- Egg - room temperature
- Baking soda
- Salt
- Vanilla
- Chocolate kiss candies
For the coating:
Steps to make the cookies:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place the chocolates in the refrigerator. Using a hand or stand mixer, add butter ¼ of granulated sugar, and ¼ of brown sugar and beat until creamed.
Add the egg and mix until combined. Add the vanilla and peanut butter and mix until combined. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
Cover and chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls. Roll the dough into the ½ cup of sugar. Place the dough on the baking sheet a few inches apart.
Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven and press a chocolate kiss into each cookie until it is sitting inside the cookie.
Repeat the process if you still have additional cookie dough. Allow the cookies to cool until firm before serving.
This recipe created 16 cookies, but you can definitely get more out of this dough if you roll them a little smaller.
Some people like the cookies smaller and some people like them flatter. Make this recipe to your own liking.
Store the cookies in an airtight container. Once the cookies are firm there are no issues with stacking the cookies on top of one another.
