Brownies are one of the most delicious chocolate desserts of all times, but this pecan pie topping takes this dessert over the top!
This recipe will serve a large crowd that is unless you're like me and cut large pieces of brownie like its a slice of cake lol.
So let's get into this recipe so I can show you how it's done!

Ingredients needed to make the brownies:
For the brownies- you will need:
- All-purpose flour
- Whole eggs- room temperature
- Dark brown sugar
- Granulated sugar
- Cocoa powder
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Unsalted butter- room temperature
- Salt
- Vanilla

For the pecan pie topping- you will need:
- Unsalted butter
- Light brown sugar
- Corn syrup
- Heavy cream
- Vanilla
- Ground cinnamon
- Salt
- Chopped pecans

Steps to make the Pecan Pie Brownies:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place butter and ½ c of chocolate chips in a bowl. Heat in microwave in 30- second intervals until melted. Stir together after each interval.

Gradually add the flour mixing well after each addition.

To make the pecan pie topping:
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Whisk in the brown sugar. Add the salt, cinnamon, heavy cream, corn syrup, and vanilla and stir until bubbling for approximately 4 minutes.
Fold in the pecans and pour the mixture over the brownies. Return the brownies to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool. The filling will continue to set as the brownies cool.

- ½ c (1 stick) of unsalted butter
- 1 c light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- ½ c heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 2 c chopped pecans
Instructions
- To make the brownies: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place butter and ½ c of chocolate chips in a bowl. Heat in microwave in 30- second intervals until melted. Stir together after each interval.
- Add the sugars, cocoa, salt, and vanilla to the bowl and mix well.
- Add the eggs and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixing well after each addition. Pour the mixture into greased pan and bake for 25 minutes. Begin to prepare pecan pie topping during the last five minutes of the cooking process.
- To make the pecan pie topping:In a saucepan, melt the butter.
- Whisk in the brown sugar. Add the salt, cinnamon, heavy cream, corn syrup, and vanilla and stir until bubbling for approximately 4 minutes.
- Fold in the pecans and pour the mixture over the brownies. Return the brownies to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool. The filling will continue to set as the brownies cool.
